Name: Frank Dj Name: Fran-Kay Age: 28, Born year of the dragon Music Played: Funky to uplifting house After enjoying playing and working in the club scene from a fifteen year old toddler being inspired by DJ Dizzy to his late teens as a door man at The White Horse Inn Johannesburg, Fran-Kay decided that house music was what he preferred of all. After years of self learning, bothering moms and neighbour's eventually arranged a gig in December 2002 with Johannesburg based club Sunny Side Up. Fran-Kay became resident at SSU playing the most uplifting tunes and known for getting the crowds roaring for more. Fran-Kay has enjoyed one and one sets with as he says " The best funky house dj/producer in SA" Ryan Dent. Adding to that he played at the 2004 new years Junior Jack & Kid Creme party held at the Sundome in Johannesburg, saying that that event helped make his decision to travel abroad and gain more experience from the internationals. Now residing in London he hopes to start producing and offer the Londoners exactly what they want in house music. Fran-Kay's motto 'No People No Play' |
